Asreportedthetwo-dayeventrevolvesaroundseveralsubjectsincludingIran’sbankingandtraderelationstwoyearsaftertheimplementationofitsnucleardeal(knownasJCPOA),aswellastheperspectiveofIranandEurope’sbankingtiesinthefuture,riskmanagement,non-performingloans(NPL),InternationalFinancialReportingStandards(IFRS),renewableenergyresources,andfinallyintroducinginvestmentopportunitiesinIran.

AsAliDivandari,theheadofIran’sMonetaryandBankingResearchInstitute(MBRI)andtheevent’ssecretary,announcedaddressingtheforum,Iran’sbankingrelationswererestrictedtofiveorsixbanksundertheWestern-ledsanctions,whilethefigurehaspresentlyreacheduptoones.

“DespiteIrancouldmakeanumberofnewbankingconnectionsasoftheimplementationofthenucleardealinJanuary,thecountryisstilllookingformajorEuropeanbankstodevelopitsbankingties,”headded.

“Thecountrycouldmanagetoopen38,creditlinesduringthepasttwoyears,”henoted,“Initspost-sanctionera,Iranbecamesuccessfultodoabove,financialtransactionswithEuropeansandwasabletomanage$87billionofitsfinancialresource.”
